Hilton Colombo

Hilton Colombo is in the business district of the capital, popular with business and leisure travellers on short stays. It has a bridge connecting it to the World Trade Center. Colombo Fort and Pettah are within walking distance, for colonial buildings, busy market streets and street food.

Planning your stay

Colombo is about 45 minutes to an hour from the international airport, depending on traffic. Many travellers spend a night here at the start or end of a trip; the city is easiest to explore by tuk-tuk or on a guided tour. Traffic is heaviest at rush hour, so plan sightseeing for mid morning or late afternoon, and finish at Galle Face Green for the sunset.

How to Get There

Hilton Colombo sits in Colombo Fort, close to the World Trade Center. The airport at Katunayake is around 35 km away, about 45 minutes by car, travelling down the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway into the city.

Most of the city's sights, restaurants and shops are a short tuk tuk or taxi ride away.

We can book a private air conditioned transfer from the airport or anywhere in Colombo, and the driver can stay with you for the rest of your holiday if you wish. Times are approximate and depend on traffic, especially around Colombo.
