Planning your stay
Dickwella is on the south coast, about three hours from Colombo on the expressway, between Mirissa and Tangalle. Surf at Hiriketiya is best from about November to April. The coast here is quieter than Mirissa or Unawatuna, and a good base for day trips to Tangalle, Dondra and Matara.
Things to do nearby
See the Hummanaya blowhole, about 22 minutes away, surf at Hiriketiya, visit the Dondra Head lighthouse, go whale watching in Mirissa, or walk the ramparts of Galle Fort.

How to Get There
Soul Resorts Dickwella is near the coast at Dickwella. From Bandaranaike International Airport it is about 200 km by road, about 3 hours 15 minutes, travelling via the Southern Expressway past Matara, then the coast road.
From central Colombo the journey is about 175 km and takes about 2 hours 45 minutes.
To keep arrival simple, ask us for a private transfer with a chauffeur who meets you outside arrivals. You can keep the car for touring afterwards. Road times are a guide only and can vary with traffic and weather.
