Planning your stay
Sigiriya is in the Cultural Triangle, about four hours from Colombo. Climb the rock early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds, and allow time for Dambulla and a safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla.
Room types are Deluxe Rooms, Wooden Chalets, Deluxe Rooms with Attic and Deluxe Suites. Rooms have stylish interiors, a wardrobe and a sofa seating area, and en-suite bathrooms with free-standing bathtubs.
Deluxe Room

Deluxe Rooms with Attic
Good for a family or a group of friends, this 74 sqm room sleeps up to six. A spiral staircase leads to a private attic room. Beds can be queen size or twin, and the room has air conditioning, free Wi-Fi, a flat screen TV, a minibar and a safe.

Deluxe Suite

How to Get There
Aliya Resort and Spa sits in Sigiriya, with views of the rock. The airport at Katunayake is around 150 km away, about 3 hours 45 minutes by car, travelling via Kurunegala and Dambulla, using the Central Expressway for the first part.
Coming from central Colombo instead, allow 4 hours 15 minutes for roughly 170 km.
