Cinnamon Lakeside is a well known luxury hotel in Colombo, on the banks of the Beira Lake in Slave Island and close to Galle Face Green. Crescat Boulevard and Odel are a few minutes away, as is the temple of Gangaramaya.

Planning your stay

Colombo is about 45 minutes to an hour from the international airport, depending on traffic. Many travellers spend a night here at the start or end of a trip; the city is easiest to explore by tuk-tuk or on a guided tour. Traffic is heaviest at rush hour, so plan sightseeing for mid morning or late afternoon, and finish at Galle Face Green for the sunset.

Premium Room

A 17 sqm room with a private balcony, or a terrace on the first floor, looking over Beira Lake and the pool. It has a seating area, a work station and the same amenities as the Superior Room.

Executive Room

These 17 sqm rooms are on the 7th floor VIP level, with a seating area, a work station and a master control panel. Guests receive a free 15 minute foot or head massage and other complimentary extras.

Cilantro Suite

The entry-level suite is 56 sqm, with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom, a living space with a lounge and dining area and a guest bathroom. The private balcony has dining facilities and views over Beira Lake.

Presidential Suite

A 220 sqm suite with a master bedroom and a guest bedroom, which can extend to two more. It has two living spaces, a dining area, a kitchenette, a cocktail bar, a grand piano, a Jacuzzi and a private terrace over Beira Lake.

How to Get There

You will find Cinnamon Lakeside on the shore of Beira Lake near Colombo Fort. The drive from Bandaranaike International Airport covers roughly 35 km and takes 45 minutes or so, travelling down the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway into the city.

Getting around Colombo from here is easy by taxi, tuk tuk or ride hailing app.

To keep arrival simple, ask us for a private transfer with a chauffeur who meets you outside arrivals. You can keep the car for touring afterwards. Allow extra time at weekends and on public holidays, when the roads out of Colombo are busier.
