Planning your stay
Tangalle is on the deep south coast, about three hours from Colombo by expressway. Its beaches are quieter than those further west, and the best season is from about November to April. Some beaches here shelve steeply and have strong currents, so check with locals before swimming.
Things to do nearby
Swim at Tangalle beach, see birds at Kalametiya, watch turtles nesting at Rekawa, visit the cave temple of Mulkirigala, or go whale watching in Mirissa, or walk the ramparts of Galle Fort. The Tangalle market and lagoon are within walking distance.

Accommodation
There are six rooms. Kundira, Palmyrah, Kurumba and Thambili are in the main house, and King Coco and Arica are next door. Rooms are decorated in bright colours, with en-suite bathrooms and ocean views.

How to Get There
Coco Tangalla sits on the beach at Tangalle. The airport at Katunayake is around 210 km away, about 3 hours 15 minutes by car, travelling via the Southern Expressway to the Beliatta area, then the coast road into Tangalle.
If you start in Colombo, it is around 185 km, about 3 hours on the road.
