Sigiriya is in the Cultural Triangle, about four hours from Colombo. Climb the rock early in the morning to avoid the heat and the crowds, and allow time for Dambulla and a safari at Minneriya or Kaudulla.

How to Get There
You will find Jetwing Vil Uyana among restored wetlands at Rangirigama, a few kilometres from Sigiriya. The drive from Bandaranaike International Airport covers roughly 140 km and takes 3 and a half hours or so, travelling via Kurunegala and Dambulla, using the Central Expressway for the first part.
If you start in Colombo, it is around 160 km, about 4 hours on the road.
To keep arrival simple, ask us for a private transfer with a chauffeur who meets you outside arrivals. You can keep the car for touring afterwards.
