Residence by Uga Escapes is a 19th century Victorian townhouse, renovated with modern interiors while keeping its old world charm. It is a high end boutique hotel and a quiet retreat in the city. The suites and the Main House are separated by the swimming pool; the Main House holds the bar, the master suite and the library.

Planning your stay

Colombo is about 45 minutes to an hour from the international airport, depending on traffic. Many travellers spend a night here at the start or end of a trip; the city is easiest to explore by tuk-tuk or on a guided tour. Traffic is heaviest at rush hour, so plan sightseeing for mid morning or late afternoon, and finish at Galle Face Green for the sunset.

How to Get There

Residence by Uga Escapes sits in Colombo 3, close to Viharamahadevi Park. The airport at Katunayake is around 35 km away, about 1 hour by car, travelling down the Colombo-Katunayake Expressway into the city.

Getting around Colombo from here is easy by taxi, tuk tuk or ride hailing app.
