How to Get There

Grand Udawalawe Safari Resort is near the entrance to Udawalawe National Park. From Bandaranaike International Airport it is about 185 km by road, about 4 hours, travelling through Ratnapura and Embilipitiya, or partly on the Southern Expressway.

If you start in Colombo, it is around 160 km, about 3 and a half hours on the road.

We can book a private air conditioned transfer from the airport or anywhere in Colombo, and the driver can stay with you for the rest of your holiday if you wish. Times are approximate and depend on traffic, especially around Colombo.
