Planning your stay
Negombo is about 20 to 30 minutes from Bandaranaike International Airport, so it is a practical stop at the start or end of a trip. The beach season on the west coast runs from about November to April.

Negombo beach is about 6.7 km away. Visit the fish market, take a boat on the lagoon, or see the Dutch fort. The Negombo railway station and Sunday market are nearby, and Galle can be done as a long day trip.

How to Get There
Suriya Luxury Resorts sits on the beach at Waikkal, about 10 km north of Negombo town. The airport at Katunayake is around 25 km away, about 45 minutes by car, travelling north-west along the main road, a short run with no expressway needed.
Coming from central Colombo instead, allow 1 hour 15 minutes for roughly 55 km.
