Jetwing Jaffna is part of the well known Jetwing chain, in the northern town of Jaffna, where most people are Tamil and culture and tradition run deep. The hotel is close to the Nallur Kandaswamy Kovil and the railway station. At seven storeys it is one of the tallest buildings in town. It welcomes families, and the staff are friendly.

Planning your stay
Jaffna is in the far north, about seven hours by road or a domestic flight from Colombo, and also reached by train. Its Tamil culture, temples and food are quite different from the south. Dress modestly at temples; men usually remove their shirts at Nallur. Try local dishes such as Jaffna crab curry, odiyal kool and the famous ice cream parlours.
Rooms are listed as Deluxe Rooms, decorated in northern colours.
Deluxe Rooms
The first category at Jetwing Jaffna is a 35 sqm room with a king size bed and a balcony looking over the lagoon and the town. Interconnecting rooms are available.

You will find Jetwing Jaffna in the centre of Jaffna. The drive from Bandaranaike International Airport covers roughly 370 km and takes 7 and a half hours or so, travelling north via Kurunegala, Anuradhapura and Vavuniya on the A9.
From central Colombo the journey is about 395 km and takes about 8 hours.
We can book a private air conditioned transfer from the airport or anywhere in Colombo, and the driver can stay with you for the rest of your holiday if you wish. Times are approximate and depend on traffic, especially around Colombo.
